The art works shown on these pages; oil paintings, watercolor, etchings and linocuts,
are all original pieces made by Martin John Garhart (Martin Garhart). The works
include a variety of media based around a group of themes that are based on a central concept. (see the Artists Statement.) There are no reproduction (images that are photographically reproduced and then numbered and then call prints.) The prints on this sight are traditional original works. In printmaking that means that the impressions are created by the transfer of ink from one or more plates, blocks, stones, or screens depending on the process used. The work shown here are intaglio etchings and engravings and relief lino cuts. The frames are for the most part made by the artistand in the case of the large paintings they are an architectural or sculptural addition to the total content of the piece.
